Greetings,

I have an offer for the meeting tomorrow night. Please let me know one way or another if you are interested in participating.

Town and Country on 11th near campus has a really nice deli and a second floor seating area. It has a fairly nice variety of picnic style food and quite a few people on campus make it a lunch spoke a few times a month. Turns out they sell hamburgers too. Earlier this week I learned that they have an Impossible Burger option and it doesn't cost any extra. Gary Bummer and I went there for lunch today (rather than the regular pizza day) and had one. I'll let Gary speak for himself but for me, I was initially skeptical... and thought that knowing it was not hamburger that I would be able to tell. I could not. Not when I looked at it before assembling it (they have onions, pickles, leaf lettuce, and tomatoes on the side). Not when I tore it apart. Not when I took a big bite with everything on it. Not when I tore off a sizable chunk and ate it all by itself. I really couldn't tell a difference. This is NOT a thin overcooked patty like one would expect at Burger King. It is some
where between a McDonald's Quarter Pounder and a Carl Jr's burger although less greasy. I think it is a 1/3 of a lb but it might be 1/4. I'll have to ask them tomorrow. While I was expecting it to be medium rare as that seems to be how most of the fancier burger joints that carry it cook it, it was completely cooked with no pink at all.

Anyhoo... I was told they quit selling them at 5PM... but I was thinking about calling them up on the phone and ordering a few and then picking them up at 5... and then storing them in my fridge at work... and then heating them up (Impossible Burger and bun only) at meeting time... and letting anyone try them that wants to. My guess is that pretty much everyone already eats dinner BEFORE the meeting... and who would want a whole burger at the meeting? Probably no one. But telling you ahead of time means you can skip dinner or have a light one... and either have a whole burger or a half burger or a quarter. Whatever you want. I just need feedback to figure out how many to buy. Myself, I'll take a whole one. :)

I won't get my feelings hurt if one person or everyone says, "no thanks", but I did want to offer. Please let me know. My treat.

Oh, and by the way, I came up with a few more topics to cover if we a lull but we usually don't.

TYL,
