[BozemanLUG] I should be punished...

Here's an idea for a topic I've always been curious about. What's the easiest/best way to set up persistent home shares across a network.

I mean I could set up a NFS share for home directories, but then I'd still have to create the users on each machine, and put the nfs share in the fstab on each machine.

That doesn't seem like a very robust solution. I'm guessing the answer is to set up LDAP, and then just set up each machine to authenticate using that. And then maybe have a NFS mounted for the home directory on each system?

Anyways just a thought that maybe Scott could share with us how he sets up the linux boxes on campus.
